Time for a Trip: Because “Crime of Passion” Won’t Hold Up in Court

I’m this close to losing faith in humanity! While I have three long vacations already booked, what I really need right now is a quick-fix. A weekend escape to remind me that good people are still out there. So, no need to drag a full-size luggage behind you. For a weekend, all you really need is a trusty day-to-day purse and a solid weekender bag that affirms, “She’s fun. She’s stable. Trust me!"

Let’s break down the weekend trip packing must-haves, starting with the weekender bag, the outfits, and the little extras.

Weekender Bags We Love

The Beis Weekender

If there were a travel MVP, this would be it. It's roomy, sleek, and Béis offers a variety of colors. We’re drooling over that rich brown hue! It fits more than you'd expect without looking bulky. A true style-meets-function moment!

As seen on our sister who was traveling to Greece.

Bonus if the outfit matches the bag!

Betsey Johnson Bag

If bold and playful is your thing, this bag has your name all over it. It's fun, no-fuss, and gives off “I woke up like this” airport energy. Toss your things in and go. Effortless style included!

Your Travel Checklist

Outfit Planning

Think of your itinerary (if you created one). Bring pieces that mix-and-match. You're only gone for a few days, so every piece should earn its spot.

  • 2–3 tops

  • 2 bottoms (jeans + something comfier)

  • 1 layering piece (cardigan, denim jacket, or lightweight blazer)

  • 1 outfit for going out (if that’s on the agenda)

  • Comfy sneakers and maybe one pair of heels

Makeup

Keep it minimal, but make it count.

  • Your go-to foundation

  • A travel-sized eyeshadow palette

  • Blush

  • 3 lipsticks (one for each of your personality traits that come alive when you’re abroad.)

Undergarments

  • 4–6 undies

  • 3 bras

  • 4 pairs of socks

  • Pads/tampons/menstrual cups.

That’s it. Resist the urge to bring your whole drawer. You won’t need it! You don’t need “just-in-case” underwear... Just in case of what?? LOL

Accessories

UNLIMITED! We’re not even going to pretend to pack light here. If you're a jewelry over-packer, welcome to the club. Necklaces, rings, statement earrings. Bring the sparkle to suit your vibe when you land.

And that's your travel checklist.
